You and your partner have accepted the challenge!

Your team will consist of:

An Artist

You love to create and especially to draw and paint. You are an artist who will create a Mondrian-esque piece of art on the coordinate plane and art instructions so that Mr. Mondrian can produce your piece of art.

A Gamer

You love any kind of game, video or board game. You are a gamer who will create a game on the coordinate plane along with instructions so that Mr. Mondrian has a safer game to play without being electrocuted.

 

Together you will:

Discover other ways that the coordinate plane is used in real life.

Make a poster for the Gallery Walk to show what you learned.

 

But first,

you will need to learn about the coordinate plane so that you can use it to make the art instructions and the game. Think about how the coordinate system can be used to map out, describe and represent the position of objects in other places.
